  • We believe artistic self-expression and athletic competition are to be positive, formative experiences
available for the benefit of all students

"We know more, right now, than at any time in history about the brain, how learning happens, the cognitive processes in the brain that work to build understanding and knowing, and how teachers and classrooms can support those processes. At Winston, we know that neurodivergence is a gift, and learners with ADD/ADHD, dyslexia, dysgraphia, or other learning differences, possess strengths that will enable their success, not only in the classroom, but in their future. We are a faculty and staff committed to research-based classroom practice, and more, we share a deep commitment to partnering with parents to develop a learning path for each student that empowers and engages them not only in academic learning, but learning about themselves and developing skills for self-advocacy and self-reliance." - Dr. Jennifer Milam, Head of School, The Winston School
